Commitment
Accessibility is part of how we design and build, not a separate workstream.
Creative Athletes works to make this website usable by as wide an audience as possible, including people who rely on assistive technologies. The same posture applies to the products and services we design and ship with client organizations.
We treat accessibility as a continuous practice. Standards evolve, assistive technologies evolve, and our own components evolve. This page describes the bar we hold ourselves to, what we currently do to meet it, and how to tell us when we have fallen short.
Standards we work toward
We aim to align with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA where reasonably practicable. WCAG is the working reference for design decisions, component reviews, and implementation choices.
The site has not been audited by an independent third party and has not been certified against any specific accessibility standard. The goal is genuine usability for real users of assistive technology, not a certification claim. Engagements that require formal conformance can be scoped accordingly under a separate agreement.
What we do on this site
Across the design and implementation of the site, we work to:
- Structure content with semantic HTML and a clear heading hierarchy
- Maintain sufficient color contrast in light and dark contexts
- Support full keyboard navigation, including visible focus states
- Provide accessible names and roles for interactive elements
- Respect operating system preferences for reduced motion and color scheme
- Use form components with labels, descriptions, and clear error messaging
- Test against keyboard, screen reader, and zoom workflows during development
Known limitations
No site is perfectly accessible at every moment, and we will not claim otherwise. Component upgrades, content additions, and third-party embeds can introduce regressions that take time to identify and fix.
When we become aware of an issue that affects real use of the site, we prioritize it against other work. Where a fix takes longer, we aim to provide a clear alternative path for the same task.
Reporting an accessibility issue
If you encounter a barrier on the site, or have a suggestion that would improve it, the fastest route is the contact form.
To help us reproduce and resolve the issue, please include:
- The page or screen where the issue occurred
- What you were trying to do
- What went wrong
- The assistive technology, browser, and operating system you were using, if relevant
We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within a working day and to communicate next steps based on the nature of the issue.
Accessibility in client work
For engagements with client organizations, accessibility is treated as a baseline product quality. The level of formality (audits, third-party testing, statement of conformance, procurement documentation) is agreed at the start of the engagement based on the audience the product serves and the obligations the organization is under.
Ongoing improvement
This page reflects current practice and will be updated as the site evolves, as standards change, and as our internal review process matures.
